Skincare Products I Love

I subscribe to a LOT of blogs, and I always find the posts about different skincare regimens very helpful.  I've gone out and tried a few products because of recommendations in the blogosphere, so I decided to put the products I use on the 'net in case one of my 2.5 readers (Hi Mama!) finds it useful.

Right after Atticus was born, I decided I should start taking better care of my skin.  I'd occasionally go to bed without washing off my makeup, and I'd buy random products for quick fixes rather than spending money on something that would actually work.

I have dry skin that breaks out when I go longer than a week without washing my pillowcase or when it gets too dry.

That being said, here are the products I use and the order in which I use them:

Caudalie Gentle Cleanser
I love this cleanser.  It's non-foaming and super gentle.  I use it morning and night.  Unless I wore heavy liner and mascara, it removes all of my makeup.  It lasts a while, too.  I've had the same bottle for about 4 months, and only 2/3 of it is gone.

Ole Henricksen Invigorating Night gel
I use this night gel every evening after I wash my face but before I moisturize.  This gel stimulates cell turnover so you have younger, firmer looking skin.  As soon as I put it on, I feel my skin tighten up.  I don't really like the packaging.  It's a tub instead of a tube, which I don't really feel is very sanitary, but it's a large tub, and each application requires a very small amount, so it will last a long time.

Caudalie Vinosource Quenching Sorbet- Creme Moisturizer
I use this moisturizer morning and night.  It's lightweight, but super moisturizing.  If I only got to keep one product, it would be this one.  I LOVE it.

Caudalie Vinosource Anti-Wrinkle Nourishing Cream
I use this moisturizer at night during the colder months and on occasion the rest of the year if my skin is feeling dry.  It is super rich, and it smells good too.

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avacado
I love this eye treatment from Kiehl's!  It doesn't do anything for wrinkles, but it is super moisturizing.  I use it morning and night after my regular moisturizer.  Even if I have a super rough night with Atticus waking up all the time, I never have bags under my eyes the next morning.  Eye makeup seems to glide on and look pretty and even if my eye areas are well moisturized.  This is my second favorite product. :)

Clinique Acne Solutions Emerrgency Gel-Lotion
If I do have a massive zit, this stuff makes it go away pretty quickly.

Yeah, some of the products I use are a little pricey, but I only have this skin.  I already have scars on my back from pre-cancerous growth removals, so I try to take good care of the skin I have.

Oh yeah, for sunscreen, I like Neutrogena for my face, Neutrogena or Aveeno for my body when in water, and Kiehl's Creme de Corps for my body for every day.
