I us...My favorites have changed as he's grown. I used to hate bG elementals, but they are now my favorite diapers, hands down. Rumparooz are my favorite for overnight because they hold the most pee, but they are expensive. I hated diapers with snaps in the beginning, but I'm now going to have the Convert My Diapers lady online switch out my velcro ones for snaps.

I had intended on getting a diaper sprayer to attach to the toilet in the master bedroom when Atticus started solids, but he had a nasty nasty nasty poop yesterday that I didn't want stinking up the diaper pail. I took out the inserts, threw them in the pail, and did the old "dunk and swish." The idea of holding a diaper in the toilet used to make me want to vomit, but it really wasn't bad at all. I held on to a clean part of the diaper, made sure the poop part was in the water, and flushed a couple of times. All of the poop went down the drain, and I just tossed the diaper in the pail. Changing the diaper was more gross than having to deal with the fact that it was a cloth diaper, if that makes any sense.

The inserts I have are all microfiber, and they come with the diapers. (Except for the Elementals. They are all in ones, and they have no inserts.) All of them came with two inserts - a small one for newborn size, and then a regular size one. Atticus uses the normal size one, and at night , I use one of each in his diaper so I don't have to change him overnight. I wash the used insert(s) and diaper each time he wears one. Some diapers (gDiapers, I think) have flushable liners that don't have to be washed, but they are dang near as expensive as disposable diapers, so that doesn't make any sense to me.

If I had it to do over again, I would order one or two of each kind that I thought I might like to try them out. The used value is great, so even if you decide not to go with cloth, you'll be able to get a lot of your money back.Ashley @ The Hagaboatershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02923133530309476669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7995751630559190219.post-35051202330876926772011-08-17T23:40:44.422-04:002011-08-17T23:40:44.422-04:00I am so glad I read this. AND also do u have any suggestions as far as cleaning them? I like how you gave your process , it was helpful! BUT my girl is already starting solids, so her poop is not so much runny anymore! How would I clean that out? How do the inserts work? Are they a one time use thing?jaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16146689159118851734noreply@blogger.com
